Game Tester
Keywords Studios — World's Largest Specialist Game Services Company
  • QA on AAA and AA titles — finding bugs, writing them up clearly, and making sure they can be reproduced every time.
  • Bug reports written so a developer can act on them straight away, with steps, platform, and build info included.
  • Coming in as a game designer means I spot design issues as well as technical ones — things that break immersion, not just code.
2025 – Present
Sales Assistant Currys, Cambridge May 2023 – Nov 2024
  • Advised customers on consumer electronics and gaming hardware — most people just wanted someone who actually knew what they were talking about.
  • Helped train new staff coming into the team.
  • Regularly hit sales targets, mostly by being useful rather than pushy.
Sales Assistant CEX, Cambridge Nov 2022 – Apr 2023
  • Handled buying, selling and part-exchanging across gaming hardware and consumer electronics.
  • Did a fair bit of on-the-spot troubleshooting for customers bringing in broken kit.
  • Kept on top of stock and store presentation alongside the day-to-day.

  • Front of house in a busy restaurant. Fast-paced, customer-facing — you learn quickly how to keep things moving when it gets hectic.

  • Operated rides and kept guests safe in a high-footfall environment. Good at staying switched on when it's busy and when it isn't.
